Marketing Week is kickstarting a search for the highest achieving and most impactful marketers in the UK.
The Marketing Week Top 100, sponsored by Salesforce, will be published online and in the September issue of the Marketing Week magazine.
The 100 marketers will be selected from a long-list of contenders by a judging panel made up of some of the biggest names in marketing. The full list of judges is below and includes Marketing Week columnist Mark Ritson, former AMV BBDO chief executive Dame Cilla Snowball and Tom Fishburne, aka The Marketoonist.
Those considered for the list must be the most senior marketer at their brand, company or business unit. They also need to work for a UK-based brand or company or have responsibility for marketing in the UK market.
They will be judged on business success, innovative thinking and impact and influence across the marketing industry. The final 100 will consist of 10 groupings of 10 marketers from related vertical sectors.
A further ranking of the top 10 most effective marketers overall will be published in October and a winner announced at the Marketing Week Masters awards on 2 October.
Marketing Week editor Russell Parsons says: “In enlisting some of the most respected figures in marketing to determine the list, we will be able to present a credible selection of impactful leaders from right across the marketing world.
“Marketing Week’s purpose is to help marketers be more effective at marketing and as marketing leaders. By showcasing 100 marketers across 10 sectors, we can build a picture of what makes an effective marketer. In doing so, we are celebrating achievement and offering our audience inspiration by showcasing what good looks like.”
A drinks reception to celebrate the Top 100 will be held at the Festival of Marketing on 10 October.
